IQ shine live in concert. The wonderful banter, the passionate delivery of songs, the silliness and yet all this with proficient musical compostion. This is the first of the Archive series from Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg, Germany (16 Feb. 2002). Only the second concert of the 20th anniversary tour (the first was at La Maroquinerie in Paris the night before), it's a wonderful performance of rare played songs like "The Wrong Side of Weird" and "Just Changing Hands" (which goes all the way back to a b-side on 1983 Lush Attic era). Great to hear this as they dropped it from the set. Combine this will a full version of "The Last Human Gateway" among other songs and it's a great evening at the Colos-Saal. This will be the first of the Archive series of official bootlegs from the band and will only be printed in a run of 2,000 copies. It's the first of many wonderful official bootlegs to come. And it's most welcome. IQ are brilliant in the studio but the fun really comes out in their live performances and this show is one of those moments.
